Another Update

Well, I suppose it is time for another update. Sorry I am so bad at this. Part of the problem is I feel like I should post pictures, but we only have a video camera. It takes stills also, but it's just not as convenient as a point and shoot. Anyway, there will be no pictures, but I will tell you what's been goin' on around here. :)

Ryan is still plugging away at school. His next semester will be mostly animation classes, so it will be a heavy load. But he is excited. He also has been hired on as the animation lab technician at the school, so he will get paid to sit in the animation lab and do his homework. He's pretty psyched about that.

I am working full time as a secretary for Preventive Pest Control (any Albuquerqueans in need of pest spray, give me a call). My sister, Emily, works there, too, so it is really nice to see her so much. The kids have really adjusted to it well. Ryan's schedule has allowed him to be home with them most of the time and my family watches them when he can't. It is nice to have some regular money again, even if it isn't much.

Lizzie just started preschool at Shining Stars. They are the only public preschool in the area and we were very lucky to get in. She LOVES it! I can't believe she is in school. It is just crazy, but she loves every minute of it. She keeps growing out of everything she's got and has enough personality and spunk for two or three kids. I hope her teachers can handle it. :)

Aislin turned two at the beginning of this month. She learns 10 new words a day, it seems and we love hearing her try to pronounce things. She is ultra-adorable and she knows it. She and Lizzie are able to play together more than they used to, and we often hear them giggling up a storm.

I guess that is about it. We're just doin' our thing day after day. The kids keep growing and we keep plugging along at jobs and school. Everybody is healthy and happy and we're doing pretty darn well overall. :)

Update

Well, since I am averaging about one post every six months or so, I figured I would give an update.

Ryan is still in school, but we only have three semesters left! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe we are so close to being done! He is having a blast. He's been doing everything from logo design to short, hand-drawn animations to making puppets. If you want to check out his latest stuff, you can go look at his facebook page, he puts it all up there.

I watched a documentary the other day called The Beautiful Truth and now I can't eat any processed foods. Grocery shopping actually makes me sick when thinking of all the additives that are in our processed food. You should watch the show, it will blow your mind! Since adopting a more vegetarian lifestyle after watching the show, I have lost 5 or so pounds. :D

Lizzie is very excited to start preschool in the fall. I tried some homeschooling, but it wasn't working for us, so I've decided to let the excellent Rio Rancho School System teach her the basics and I will try again in a few years.

Aislin is learning more and more words. She says "mom" "da-ee" (daddy) "izshz" (Lizzie) "bye" and of course "no". She is hilarious. She has constantly got us laughing. The other day she had the Prince Philip and Sleeping Beauty dolls and she was making them kiss. She's already a hopeless romantic like her mom.

Here are a couple pictures of the kids.
Aislin fell asleep "reading". She loves books. Several times a day she will bring me a book and doesn't give up until I read it to her.
Lizzie had oral surgery a few months ago and got nearly all her top teeth capped. So she has a very silvery smile now. :) She loves them because we told her they are princess teeth.
